Skin must be clean and free of oil, makeup, and deodorant before treatment.
Stop waxing, or plucking the area 4-6 weeks before treatment.
Area needs to be clean shaven 12-24 hours prior to getting laser treatment. Laser does not work with visible hair.
Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, and spray tanning at least 2 weeks prior to laser treatment.
If you are on medications such as Accutane, Retin-A, antibiotics, and blood thinners, laser treatment cannot be provided and you should consult with your primary physician.
Avoid physical activities at least 2 hours before treatment.
Mild redness, swelling, and bumps of the hair follicles may occur (histamine reaction). These reactions are normal.
Avoid sun exposure. You might get hyperpigmentation if you don’t use sunscreen.
Apply zinc oxide sunscreen of SPF30+ on the laser area.
To reduce heat reaction, avoid tight clothing, heated seats, hot showers, saunas, or anything that increases your body temperature.
Avoid exercising for 24 hours.
Avoid picking or scratching the skin, and consider applying a cool cloth for relief.
